Latest Happenings - DISC 2020

Greetings to you in the Mighty Name of Jesus,

Here we are into week one of the restrictions of the “Coronavirus Pandemic”. My prayer is that each of you and your family will be safe and well during this season. Of course, I believe we should take precautions as stated in the guidelines of the CDC, but I also we believe that at this time, we, as Christians, must guard against the prevailing spirit of fear that the enemy is trying to put upon us. The enemy being Satan himself – “We’re not wrestling against flesh and blood...”Ephesians 6:10-14. Fear paralyzes and that’s the point! In my lifetime, we in America have not experienced this kind of panic – shortages in stores, businesses all across America shutting down, schools closing, etc. and as a Christian, I must remember in whom I trust and whose I am! Psalm 91.

I’m so believing that what the devil means for evil, my God will turn for good! I believe with all my heart that we as the Church are entering into our finest hour – our time to shine for the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our HOPE. I believe a great move of God is going to come out of this as we draw closer and closer to HIM in this season – in that HE is our only Source. For Real! I believe we are going to experience signs and wonders as in the early Acts church. I can’t wait – deliverance, healing and the presence of our King! As we press towards Him, He’s going to do it again! Jesus Christ, the same Yesterday, Today and Forever! He’s been waiting on us – and here we come!! Won’t you join us here at DISC? He’s already doing great stuff here – Read below!

An important side note – our team just came in from feeding in the streets – it seems that no one has been feeding and several had not eaten in a couple of days. There was a whole community of people around the library in downtown Dallas. They were hungry and thirsty – thank God we were able to go. Thank you for caring, loving and helping us to minister to our people! You are the best!

Howard and Stacy stayed behind our church what seemed like forever! Stacy got pregnant. They continued to live behind the church! About a month before Baby Howard arrived, they made the decision to join our men's and women's discipleship program. Stacy went to our women's house and Howard went to our men's Life Skills facility. At last they had rest! I really wasn't sure if they would be able to adjust to the structure of our programs or not - but you know what, God got a hold of them and they began to participate, not only participate, but flourish. God was on the move!!! One day, a month later, Stacy went into labor! As all this was happening a precious ministry who specializes in medical for children just happened to come by when she was in labor. They miraculous furnished a car seat, a baby bed, formula, diapers, etc. for Baby Howard - none of which he had! Plus clothes, plus, plus! All glory to God. Howard Sr. and Stacy are such great parents. They recently had a reunion with all of their family - and I believe without a shadow of a doubt that God is working to reunite this whole family! We are excited to be a witness to God's "miracle working power"! This is a picture of Howard, Sr., Stacy, and Baby Howard, Jr. (two months old). Please keep them in your prayers! God is on the move!

Then......about one month ago, in the middle of the night, the police brought LaQuisha and Baby Erica! LaQuisha was in an very abusive relationship with the baby's daddy and he kicked her out in the cold in the middle of the night without Baby Erica! God gave her the wisdom to go next door and call the police. They came! They came and got the baby out of the abuse going on in the house and ask LaQuisha if she knew of a safe place they could bring her and the baby. She told them to take her to the Dallas International Street Church. They brought her and Baby Erica and they have been in our women's residential home ever since. The same precious ministry came and brought her a car seat, a baby bed, formula, diapers, etc. They are truly a God-send. LaQuisha is a great mom and Baby Erica is now 8 weeks old; weighs 9.5 lbs. and is in a safe place. Again, we are so grateful to be here to help those who find themselves in desperate situations! This is picture of LaQuisha and Baby Erica.

Beautiful! Miracles too numerous to mention.....
